Augas Santas Golf Course opened in June 2006, designed by Alfonso Vidaor of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects, and was the first 18-hole course built in the province of Lugo. It sits in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra, in the valley the Carabelos river carves through the parish of San Martiño, Pantón, next to a four-star spa hotel with thermal waters.
The layout runs flat and open across 5,344 metres, par 70 — three par 5s, ten par 4s and five par 3s — with greens that are exposed but well-defended. Three large lakes come into play, and a river course borders several holes throughout the round. There's no housing or development in sight, just the round itself. The course hosted the LET Access Series' Ribeira Sacra Ladies Open from 2013 to 2019, a reasonable stamp of pedigree for a course this size.
Practice facilities include a two-tier driving range, a putting green with its own approach area, and a practice bunker, alongside changing rooms, golf lessons, a shop and full equipment rental. Book Augas Santas through Tee Times and pair your round with a stay at the spa next door — a genuinely restful base for anyone touring the Ribeira Sacra.
