El Vendrell Golf Center is an eighteen-hole pitch and putt course, laid out by Laureano Nomen and opened in stages between 1993 and 1995, set among centenary carob and olive trees a few kilometres from the Costa Daurada coast near El Vendrell. It sits closer to a set of well-built par-3 holes than a scaled-down full course, and it has grown into one of Catalonia's better-known pitch and putt venues since.
The round plays over roughly 1,600 yards, short by any course's standard but not undemanding: fairways are clearly defined, the ground rolls with real slope, and two lakes bring water into play on three holes. The par-3 13th, water down one side and a demanding length and slope besides, carries the course's stroke index 1. Multiple tee positions keep it playable for beginners and families while still giving low handicappers something to aim at.
Alongside the round, there's a driving range, two putting greens, a chipping green, a practice bunker and coaching from the resident pro. Book El Vendrell for a relaxed short-game outing, a first round for newer players, or a warm-up before tackling one of the full courses nearby.
