Abra del Pas Golf Course sits at the mouth of the River Pas in Mogro, framed by woodland and fine sand dunes directly across from the Liencres Dunes Natural Park. It's eight kilometres from Torrelavega and just fifteen from Santander, in one of the most naturally striking settings on the Cantabrian coast.
The par 70 layout was expanded from its original 15 holes to a full 18, with six lakes and reforested areas woven through gentle rises and falls that add real strategy without ever feeling severe. Thick rough lines the fairways, rewarding accuracy off the tee, while the lakes come into play across a third of the round. It's a course that has earned genuine recognition for its quality: Abra del Pas holds Spain's Q de Calidad Turística, making it only the second course in Cantabria and the fifth nationally to receive it.
A driving range, golf academy, locker rooms and putting green are all on site, with a café and restaurant open to visitors. Advance booking is recommended, particularly at weekends. For golfers who want a genuinely well-regarded round set among dunes and woodland on the Cantabrian coast, Abra del Pas is well worth the visit.
