Aldeamayor Golf Course sits fifteen kilometres from Valladolid, easily reached via the N-601, and offers a genuinely rare thing for the region: two full courses on one site. Juan Ligués designed the main 18-hole, par 70 layout, running 5,676 metres over flat, comfortable ground, alongside a separate nine-hole, par 3 course threading through tall pine forest.
The main course rewards precision over power, with narrow fairways and well-placed water hazards providing the real test, while large, gently contoured greens give good putters plenty to work with. Two dogleg par 5s, four demanding par 3s and twelve varied par 4s keep the round genuinely interesting from start to finish. The shorter course offers a different kind of challenge, mixing tight, water-guarded holes with longer ones through the pines, ideal for sharpening the short game or introducing newer players to golf.
A driving range with 14 covered bays, a golf academy, putting and chipping greens and a practice bunker round out the facilities. Visitors are genuinely welcome at any time. For golfers wanting a comfortable, well-equipped round with real variety close to Valladolid, Aldeamayor is well worth a visit.
