Uraburu Golf
Uraburu Golf sits on the slopes of Monte Ganguren, between Galdakao and Larrabetzu in the Basque Country, just fifteen minutes from central Bilbao and its airport. San Sebastián, La Rioja and Santander Airport are all within an hour's drive, making it a natural fit for a North Spain golf break built around Bilbao.
José María Olazábal, the two-time Masters champion, laid the course into the natural contours of the mountain rather than against them, and the result is a genuinely technical test. Fairways run narrow through stands of centuries-old oak and conifer, elevation shifts constantly underfoot, and no two holes play alike. The 16th has emerged as the course's signature moment, with the 10th and 11th close behind for the strongest holes on the round. Electric trolleys are worth arranging in advance; the terrain rewards them.

Very helpful staff at the club. The course is testing but was very wet when we played. We finished on the 13th because of heavy rain.

We really enjoyed playing the course, it was a challenge in places and we were pleased we had hired electric trolleys as it is quite hilly and a long walk between some holes.
The lady in the office was friendly.

Thought the course was stunning, non touristy with mostly members playing. Great service, great course, will consider for next year if in the area.
