Meis Golf Course

Meis Golf Course opened in 2000, designed by Antonio Grande Santos, and has been run since as a public course by the Fundación Monte-Castrove, a Galician public-interest foundation, under an agreement with the Spanish Golf Federation to keep green fees accessible. It sits atop Monte Castrove, a high pine-forested plateau about 14 kilometres from Pontevedra, with views over the Ría de Arousa and the Ría de Pontevedra.

The layout runs 18 holes, par 72, with wide fairways framed by stone pines and six lakes woven through the round. The terrain has real elevation change, and the rough can run high off the fairway, so accuracy matters more than raw length. In July 2001, Meis hosted the European Ladies' Team Championship, drawing eighteen national teams to Monte Castrove — still the course's standout credential.

Practice facilities include a driving range and short-game area, alongside a golf academy for lessons and changing rooms at the clubhouse.
