Real Club de Sevilla
Real Sevilla sits just outside the city, on the banks of the Guadaíra river and beside the Parque Natural de Oromana, close enough to the centre of Seville for a round and a city break in the same trip. Designed by José María Olazábal and opened in 1991, it's a private club that welcomes visiting golfers by advance booking, and its pedigree speaks for itself: host to the European Tour's Seville Open and the WGC-World Cup, both in 2004, then the Spanish Open in 2008, 2010 and 2012.
The course is built for exactly that level of competition, a balanced, flat layout dressed with wide, inviting fairways and over 10,000 trees offering shelter from the Andalusian sun. Ninety bunkers and nine lakes across 61 hectares keep the challenge honest without ever feeling unfair, and the undulating Penncross greens are consistently rated among the best-maintained in the region.
The clubhouse and practice facilities match the course's stature, with a full driving range, putting and chipping greens on-site. For golfers who want to play a genuine tournament venue rather than just hear about one, this is as close as the Costa de la Luz gets to the real thing.

Young man in the pro shop was exceptionally nice and kind to us. Because it was a shotgun start, we had little to no interaction with any other staff. Clubhouse was closed afterwards due to Easter time.
