Golf de Miño opened in 2007, designed by Francisco López Segalés, in the coastal municipality of Miño — about 30 kilometres from A Coruña and 24 from Ferrol. The course sits some 200 metres from the sea, with views over the Ría de Betanzos and Ares, and threads through the wooded river gorges carved by the Xarío and Vidreiro.
The layout is 18 holes, par 71, built as two contrasting nines. The front nine is the technical half: steep, forested terrain crossed by the Xarío river, demanding precise tee shots and approaches. The back nine opens out, flatter and less wooded, asking for more length off the tee to reach the greens. Three lakes come into play, two of them guarding the 15th and 16th greens, alongside bunkers scattered through the round. It isn't a long course, but it asks you to think.
The clubhouse has a café and restaurant, changing rooms, a driving range, putting green, pro shop and golf academy. Beyond the course, there are two swimming pools and two padel courts, along with buggy, cart and club rental, and a full calendar of tournaments through the year. Book Golf de Miño through Tee Times for preferred rates — worth the trip if you want two genuinely different nines and Atlantic views inside a single round.
