La Finca Golf Course
La Finca sits in the Vega Baja valley near Algorfa, a Pepe Gancedo design that opened in 2002 and has been recognised ever since as one of the standout courses on the Costa Blanca. Gancedo, one of Spain's most celebrated amateur players turned architect, worked with the natural terrain rather than against it, and the result is a course that feels genuinely considered rather than simply built.
Wide, generous fairways give golfers of every handicap room to use the driver, but it's the greens that set La Finca apart. No two look the same: the 7th is famously square, closer to an English bowls green than a traditional putting surface, while the 14th is round and deep, often likened to a Chinese wok. Running water, mature olive trees and small canyons crossed by bridges add character throughout, and the course has hosted junior European and Spanish championships over the years.
A large clubhouse, full practice facilities and an adjoining five-star hotel make La Finca an easy course to build a longer stay around. Book a round here for one of Spain's more distinctive designs, with greens unlike anything else on the coast.

What a wonderful experience, pro shop staff excellent. We were let down by a bolt driver in the morning, phoned the club and they accompanied our request for a later tee time. Carts were stocked with pencils and scorecards and plenty of ice in the cooler. Great on course food and drinks ordered from your cart and the buggy bar delivered. Course is great and nice fast true greens.

Great layout, Long Course though. Stunning Club House. Great Staff and a Great Dinner. I was going to give it a 9, changed my mind though. The reason it’s a 10 is because there was a Course Marshal in a Golf Cart making sure everybody is keeping up with play. You don’t see that much now on other Courses.
