Llavaneras Golf Course

Llavaneras Golf Course was founded in 1945 with an original nine holes built by British enthusiasts settled on this stretch of the Maresme coast, making it the fourth-oldest club in Catalonia. F.W. Hawtree laid out that initial design, and Ramón Espinosa, Magí Sardà and Alfonso Vidaor expanded it to a full eighteen holes in 1989.

This is a short, technical course, par 70, threaded through pine trees and gentle slopes rather than built for raw length. Precision matters more than power here, particularly around the medium-sized, well-bunkered greens, and the short game gets tested more than most Costa coast courses ask of it. The Mediterranean stays in view for much of the round, and the 17th, known as El Mirador, is the hole players remember: a par four played from a high tee box with the best sea view on the course, distracting enough that more than one golfer has lost their concentration over the shot.
