Puig Campana sits in a valley beneath its namesake mountain, near Finestrat and Villajoyosa. Blake Stirling and Marco Martin designed the course, which opened in 2016 as nine holes, and a full round here means playing those nine twice from the same tees for a combined par-72 round, eighteen holes' worth of golf on a genuinely scenic layout.
The setting does a lot of the work: views open up across Finestrat village, the dramatic Puig Campana peak, and the coast toward Villajoyosa and Benidorm, with pine, olive and carob trees framing the fairways throughout. Large, consistent greens allow for varied pin positions, and manageable rough keeps the course welcoming for golfers of every level, from complete beginners to more experienced players looking for a relaxed round. The whole course is irrigated with recycled water and built with a genuine focus on the surrounding environment, home to birds, rabbits and partridges.
A modern clubhouse with genuinely impressive sea views rounds out the experience. Book Puig Campana for a scenic, welcoming round in one of the Costa Blanca's more naturally beautiful settings.
