Saurines de la Torre Golf Resort
Saurines de la Torre brings genuine desert-style golf to Murcia, a Jack Nicklaus design that draws its inspiration from his courses around Las Vegas rather than anything typically Mediterranean. It opened in 2011 as part of the Nicklaus Golf Trail and has built a reputation as one of the region's more distinctive rounds since.
Undulating fairways run between desert dunes toward greens defended by relatively few bunkers, letting the terrain itself do most of the work. A six-hectare lake dominates the closing stretch, with both the 9th and 18th wrapping around it for a finish that keeps the tension right to the last putt. Long hitters can reach the par 5s in two, but accuracy matters as much as distance, and the short 6th, played over water to a narrow green, is proof that length isn't everything here.
The course keeps things simple and focused on the golf itself, with the wider resort area covering the rest. Book Saurines de la Torre for a genuinely different look and feel among Murcia's courses, backed by real Nicklaus pedigree.

I loved this beautiful desert style course. Fairways allow your drive to roll an extra 20 to 30 yards so not hard to hit bombs if you hit them straight. Greens are quick but true and land soft enough that they don’t roll off if you have some loft. Some sand but not too much and they have nice soft sand so not too hard to get out of the bunkers.

The first thing I’d like to say is when we arrived at the shop the girl said we didn’t have a booking, I showed her the confirmation email from you but still no joy however a phone call to tee time pt and all sorted. Saurines is a very good golf course. Tees 10, fairways 9 nice firm which might not suit everyone, greens not as good as last year 7.
