Real Aero Club de Vigo Golf Course is the oldest golf club in Galicia, founded in 1951 with its current facilities dating to 1962. It sits beside Vigo's Peinador Airport, though a screen of mature, old-growth trees keeps the course feeling far more secluded than its location suggests.
The 9-hole, par 35 layout is built on gentle ground rather than steep contours, which makes it approachable for visiting golfers while still offering real teeth when the pins are set for competition. Greens are kept in excellent condition and fairways are carefully maintained throughout, giving the course a polish that belies its age. It's a round built for golfers who want a genuine, unhurried test rather than a marathon.
A driving range, golf academy, changing rooms and clubhouse round out the facilities. Visitors are genuinely welcome here, though this is a club that asks for a little forward planning: advance booking and a valid handicap certificate are required. Get in touch and we'll take care of the details, leaving you free to enjoy one of Galicia's most historic rounds.
